7th December 2012

Well a few weeks have gone by since my last Blog, and a few shows with Xia too.  Midland Counties in October, Judge June Miles, Xia got 4th in Limit Bitch, and the LCGB Champ Show in November, where she did not get placed at all !!!!  Then it was off to The Euroshow, Kortrik, Belgium with Xia, Julie Jones, Jarni, Kookie and Fiona Parry for a overnight adventure.  We left Friday morning and drove down to the Tunnel at Folkestone, then across to stay at the Hotel in Lille overnight.  Had a lovely meal in the restaurant, then early to bed ready for the next day.  Got up early and we all set off to the Xpo Centre which was only 20 minutes away with the three dogs, all the equipment and us.  Got int he centre for good time, and met up with all the other British folk that were there also, we set up our little dog area, and then just sat and waited my turn to go in the ring with Xia.  She was in Open Female Class, which had 14 entries, but 11 in the ring on the day.  Our judge was the well respected and knowledgeable Guido Perosino from Italy.  He went over Xia briefly and then made us run round the ring and then he went over her for a second time - the only comment I got at the time was "Excellent Bitch".  I went back out of the ring and waited to be called back in again.  To say I was gobsmaked was an understatement, as he placed Xia first and gave her the CAC.  I was already on cloud nine at that time, and then she was called back in again to challenge for BOB against the male, who was also british - Louise Baldwins "Balli" who had got the Best Male.  I was completely and utterly over the moon when he gave her the CACIB and BOB for Leonbergers that day.

It was a day I will treasure for a long time to come now, and I am so proud of my girl, she never lets me down and always shows herself off in the ring xxxx
